Axis Communications will demonstrate solutions at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016, an event held in Barcelona, Spain, between November 15 and 17. Axis experts will respond to the pressing need for safer and smarter cities and present the ability of the company's solutions based on smart cameras, access control, audio and video analytics to contribute to the development of a smarter and safer world.
One of the new solutions is for Automatic Incident Detection in cities, a topic that gains importance every day in municipalities facing traffic jams and other urban mobility challenges. Many cities currently see increased demand for intersection control solutions by video analytics for smart traffic light management.
Innovations related to the Internet of Things (IoT) will also be presented to demonstrate how these technologies are revolutionizing the security sector. Citilog, a company bought by Axis this year, will present a solution to improve traffic and optimize its fluidity, with an automatic incident alert system. For his part, Herta, partner of Axis, will explain the potential of facial recognition to become an effective mechanism for the search of people.
