Colombia. In the Congress of the Republic this week will again be discussed the reform of the Police Code that includes several measures of importance for citizens.
In the run-up to the debate, Senator Armando Benedetti Villaneda proposed that an article be included that establishes the mandatory use of security cameras in buildings that have more than four floors throughout the country.
"The dismantling of gangs, the identification and capture of criminals and / or aggressors of women, have occurred with the help of the few security cameras that exist in the cities. That is why its use should be mandatory in all buildings of more than 4 floors," he said.
This proposal can be translated into support for the authorities in matters of citizen security and seeks to be implemented by the National Government for its greater effectiveness.
The discussion of the reform is expected to move forward this week in the second of four debates in the plenary of the Senate.
