Mexico. Key Business Process Solutions presents to the communications and security market the solutions of Radwin, the global provider of sub-6 GHz broadband wireless solutions, which has announced the launch of its FiberinMotion wireless broadband train-ground solution.
Through which up to 90 Mbps can be supplied at distances of up to 900 meters. This traffic flow can be used to supply broadband WiFi and advertising content to passengers on board moving vehicles.
"We are proud of the FiberinMotion solution for train-to-ground connectivity," said Sharon Sher, President and CEO of Radwin. "To date, this novel Radwin solution is in operation on more than 80 trains in various parts of the world and supports upstream traffic from lines up to 1TB. FiberinMotion's performance is unparalleled in any other technology, be it 3G, LTE or WiFi, and its implementation is intuitive and simple."
RADWIN's FiberinMotion solution provides wireless broadband connectivity with a guaranteed net flow rate of up to 100 Mbps and unmatched coverage of up to 1km underground and 3km on the surface. Using this solution, transport authorities can run numerous applications, including high-speed Internet access, real-time closed-circuit TV transmission, passenger information systems (PIS), and communications-based vehicle control (CBTC).
Underground transportation systems present some of the most difficult environments for wireless transmission, with overlapping lines and irregular signal propagation due to narrow tunnels that meander. FiberinMotion incorporates the radio interface proven in real RADWIN deployments and innovative technologies to overcome the challenges of connectivity in metro tunnels. FiberinMotion, in accordance with strict railway standards, provides the optimal combination of high capacity, coverage and reliability for trains and subways.
