Latin America. Axis Communications published its most recent report on sales behavior for the first half of 2013, in which it reported a growth of 9% above the figures of the previous year, thus maintaining the leadership in the world.
The results for this first period further reveal that in Swedish local currency net sales increased by 14%, operating profit increased to SEK 216M (200), which corresponds to an operating margin of 10.3% (10.4), profit after tax amounted to SEK 162M (145) and shares increased to SEK 2.33 (2.08).
Sales in the second quarter amounted to SEK 1,114 M, (about 9.5 million euros) during this period, the key market of North America in particular continued to show a solid performance. At the same time, the independent consultancy IHS published its annual report on the video surveillance market that ratified Axis in the first place, as the previous year, as a manufacturer of network cameras and security cameras, as well as world leaders in the category of video encoders, thus fulfilling one of the objectives set during 2012.
