Mexico. The organized merchants of this border will begin the installation of surveillance cameras in the streets of the tourist corridor, as a way to support the arrival of visitors to this sector.
The president of the National Chamber of Commerce (Canaco), Alejandro Seade Terrazas, said that it will seek to install a monitoring service recorded with video cameras.
He indicated that it is sought that by Christmas the first stage of the cameras that will be delivered on loan to be operated by the Municipal Police is already working.
It was also learned that they will begin with the installation in the Paseo Triunfo de la República Corridor and that the measure seeks to give greater security to visitors and city buyers.
He mentioned that there are about 300 merchants participating in this program that will provide greater certainty during holiday purchases and support public security forces.
The plan to install video cameras on the streets runs parallel to another that currently works on the part of the federal government, except that the current one will reinforce the existing one.
