Peru. The Regional Government of Tacna began the construction of the video surveillance control and monitoring center for the province of Tacna.
Of the video surveillance cameras that are acquired, 37 would be located in the district of Tacna, 6 in Alto de la Alianza, 9 in Gregorio Albarracín, 4 in Pocollay and 4 in Ciudad Nueva. The equipment includes a central monitoring video wall, control stations, video analytical software, NVR system for video storage and communications cabinet.
The installation of cameras will allow the interconnection of the 15 police stations that the province has. In addition to this, the implementation of each station with computer equipment and printers is planned.
For this purpose, the project will acquire 47 computers, 20 matrix printers, 3 multimedia projectors and scanner.
In addition, it is planned to implement the police region with an administrative telephone exchange with a total of 90 IP telephones that will be distributed in each police station in the province and the main headquarters.
Finally it was known that although it is true that the regional government is the executing party of the project, after the agreement signed with the National Police, it is the Investment Programming Office (OPI) of the Ministry of the Interior that is responsible for giving the go-ahead to each of the stages that are followed.
