Argentina. As part of the modernization process of different areas, the province of Buenos Aires seeks to provide greater connectivity by installing the necessary infrastructure to join the delegations of the registration of people, located in hospitals, to the Single Provincial Network of Data Communication, using biometric technology to enhance the security of this system.
These actions are being coordinated by the Undersecretariat for the Modernization of the State and began to be applied within the framework of the national digital DNI project "Zero Year", where parents of newborns will be able to carry out the procedure for the first National Identity Document (DNI) without having to leave the maternity.
The Chief of Staff of the Province, Alberto Pérez, and the Minister of Health, Alejandro Collia, inaugurated a new office of the Provincial Registry of Persons in the San Roque de Gonnet hospital, which will be integrated into the network.
Roberto Reale, Undersecretary for the Modernization of the State of the province of Buenos Aires, confirmed that from his portfolio they are working together with these agencies, providing connectivity and installing the necessary infrastructure to join the delegations of the registry of people, located in hospitals, to the Single Provincial Network of Data Communication.
"Biometrics is another modern technology that powers our actions for security and, more importantly, to preserve the identity of the defenseless. It is an intelligent management that we put at the service of the women and children who are the present and the future of our Province," the official added.
The Single Provincial Data Communication Network was enabled in 24 Civil Registry delegations that are located within hospitals in the province of Buenos Aires and in seven of them you can already process the Dni Zero Year. "In this way it is possible to decentralize and streamline procedures, moving towards an increasingly inclusive, capable and decisive State," Reale said.
