International. Mobotix, a manufacturer of networked megapixel camera video surveillance systems, was chosen to ensure the security of Ukraine's Donbass Arena stadium, the first football venue in Eastern Europe to meet the criteria set by UEFA to be an elite stadium.
To ensure security, the stadium has 560 Mobotix cameras that are supported by 58 Bosch PTZ cameras and that together have a complete view of the Donbass Arena.
To complete security, the video installation has several functions to fulfill, it must allow the identification of all people at the time of entry, stay and exit of the stadium. It also serves to monitor and control the influx of visitors at the most important points such as the entrances and exits, the accesses to the grandstand or the park. Other key places with cameras installed are, for example, restaurants, parking lots or the amateur supply store.
That is why it is one of the venues of the Euro 2012, where three matches of the first round, one of the quarterfinals and a semifinal will be played. The other matches will be held in Poland.
