Brazil. HID Global Government ID Solutions (formerly LaserCard Corporation), shared the fundamental elements to create an effective ecosystem of identity credentials, during the Second Summit of the Americas of the ID World Rio 2012 event, held in Brazil.
ID World Rio de Janeiro 2012 (http://www.idworldriodejaneiro2012.com/) is a relevant event in the region that deals with issues of security and mobility and has a strong focus on the deployment of automatic identification technologies in emerging countries and, at the same time, analyzes the state of secure identification systems in the era of global mobility, the main players in security, as well as automatic and wireless identification.
As industry experts, HID Global Government ID Solutions, presented through Ismael Dykman, senior director of sales for South America of the company, the fundamental concepts that an identity credential program must have in order to be successful.
"First of all it is important to remember that identity credentials should not be seen as a solution in themselves, but only an element within a more complex relationship-based system that is bound to integrate all processes and each of the components.
We are talking about a demanding and elaborate ecosystem that reduces the chances of fraud in each of the stages it presents," said Dykman. "To ensure the success of any ecosystem, it must be based on integrated and interdependent processes, on identification cards that evolve and that instead of only having a single purpose, are 'multifunctional'. This is part of a great effort, because anticipating counterfeiters requires constant innovation," he added.
