Mexico. The system integrator Axiompass was chosen to install a free toll system for residents, using Sirit RFID readers in Sonora, the award was made by the Federal Toll Authority of Mexico - Federal Roads and Bridges of Revenue and Related Services (CAPUFE).
Within the agreement, it is estimated that Axiompass will install exclusive lanes at three toll booths, allowing residents of five cities in the south of the State of Sonora to be exempt from paying tolls in that region. These people will have a Repuve tag that will automatically open the toll barriers when the Sirit RFID reader recognizes it.
The system consists of Sirit's IDentity multi-protocol readers, which can read different radio frequency protocols, including ISO 18000-6C, which is being integrated into all vehicles in Mexico as part of the National Registry of Public Vehicles ("Repuve").
The ID5100 system can also read the ISO 18000-6B and ISO-10374 protocols, currently employed on all federal toll roads that are operated by Federal Revenue and Related Services Roads and Bridges (CAPUFE).
