Latin America. Genetec Inc., a leading provider of unified IP network security solutions, recently announced the appointment of engineer Kris P. Hornung as Commercial Vice President for Latin America. In this role, Hornung will be responsible for Mexico, and the Regions of the Andes and Southern Cone, Central America, and the Caribbean.
He will be based in Colombia, and his responsibilities will include developing business strategies to further increase the company's reach in the growing Latin American market, overseeing the hiring of regional sales managers and their coordination and management, and facilitating the expansion of the company's network of certified integrators throughout the region.
Hornung is an expert in the physical security industry with more than 25 years of experience, and joins Genetec Inc. after having held several positions as a senior sales executive at companies such as Avigilon, Verint and Ionodes, a company that is dedicated to the manufacture of advanced IP coding and video processing solutions. Engineer Hornung graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Colorado State University, and earned a Master of Business Administration from California Lutheran University.
