Eduardo Vargas was appointed as the new president of the Latin American Security Association, ALAS, replacing Luis González Nogales, who served in this position since 2007.In a letter of thanks published on the Association's website, Vargas expressed his gratitude to the partners and collaborators, highlighting the steps and commitments that ALAS has with the security industry in Latin America, such as the formalization of commitments in each country to be in charge of the training of professionals who provide knowledge to end users.
Along with this announcement, WINGS expanded its academic offer with two new training programs in structured cabling and smart cards, in which a detailed look is given to the components and tools used in these systems, and their different facilities and practices.
The Structured Cabling course consists of five modules and a certification exam, costing US$150. In turn, the smart cards course consists of nine modules and a final exam, worth US$120.
