More and more European or U.S. companies are looking to Latin America as a growing region where electronic security products and services have a high acceptance and application.In October 2007, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Axis presented to nearly 100 journalists from around the world, the company's vision for the future of IP CCTV at the first axis communications meeting.
Anders Laurin, executive vice president of the firm, said that for the next five or ten years the development of megapixel cameras and better compression capacity will be the future of the industry, in addition to intelligent sound, which basically consists of the detection and analysis of elements such as screams of people, shooting or breaking windows.
Likewise, when talking about Latin America, the firm's directors made known their perception of the region and what Axis hopes to provide in terms of training in new technologies and their application, it will also seek to position itself in the countries of the region through the implementation of large IP projects.
