Axis
Axis Communications presents the second generation of modular cameras, that is, with the lens separated from the body. Axis P1244, the first model of the new generation, costs 40% less than the first three models in the series and is smaller, more versatile and with sharp images in varied lighting conditions, the modular camera features the new Zipstream image compression technology, which reduces the need for bandwidth and storage by at least 50%.
At one end are the lens and image sensor; at the other end, there is the main unit that houses the processor and the network and power connections; connecting both parts, there is an 8-meter cable. The concept makes it possible to install sensors discreetly, while the main unit can be left elsewhere.
The sensor has a horizontal field of view of 102° and can be installed in places with very little space, on the walls or ceiling. The P1244 camera comes with the new generation of Axis processors, which allows the simultaneous execution of up to 20 applications, occupying a maximum space of 8 Mbytes.
The product offers videos with HDTV resolution, Power over Ethernet (PoE) power for easy installation, and micro SD card slot for local storage.
