Security Sales: What are your personal challenges and your next goals to accomplish personally and professionally?
Liliana Zambrano: To be able to do my PhD in Data Science. Consolidate the consulting company in cybersecurity and cyber defense at the national level, which has a comprehensive vision of the needs of the market.

VDS: What analysis do you make as a professional about the importance of the relationship with employees and collaborators?
Liliana: The most important indicator for any organization will be the results of the evaluation of the performance of every worker, followed by the result of quality surveys, the behavior of the level of customer complaints, therefore, training at all levels becomes totally relevant, since it allows to know the job satisfaction, the accidents occurred, knowledge of workers, productivity, compliance with the procedures established for the process.

From the above, only until you have certainty of a correct management of this data, you can implement improvement plans and objectives.

VDS: What do you think are the reasons for your recognition in this market?
Liliana: The need for a safe and secure cyberspace has become more important than ever, especially as we all become increasingly dependent on "digital lifelines." In this sense, from my professional approach, I have tended to train organizations in cybersecurity, to help identify areas for improvement and encourage companies to take action at all levels. Through awareness from consulting and advice I have accompanied companies in their evolution in the management of cyber risks, priorities and cybersecurity resources; Being a woman for the sector is also an added value since it highlights to a large extent the important role of gender for the sector.

VDS: What has been the evolution of the industry in your country and in Latin America in the years you have been working in it?
Liliana: Security must be seen from a comprehensive approach, without a doubt, the industry has been growing according to regional demand where some are a little more visionary others in terms of new services, innovation and transformation. Now, in the region Colombia can say that it is in a fairly evolved maturity curve. In which today there is a more coherent situational awareness against risks, therefore, it is no longer strange to see a marked trend where security measures, tools, as well as the acquisition of new hardware and software are prioritized.

VDS: How do you see the future of this industry?
Liliana: As technologies constantly change and evolve at a rapid pace, driven by machine learning and advances in automation, combined with increased capabilities and affordable by security instability factors, the security industry must be united and synchronized in resiliency initiatives across domains.

Organizations must begin to shift and opt for a posture toward a stronger position of cyber resilience and security standards. We must be aware that network ecosystems are expanding and integrating, so it is increasingly important to ensure that all organizations can anticipate, recover and adapt quickly to incidents. Security-focused leaders must communicate their risks and mitigation strategies effectively and clearly to business leaders.

This brings with it a world of opportunities in terms of innovation, transformation and stance on change. Therefore, whoever is aware of the environment that is being envisioned will see a number of opportunities at the service level.

"I like to smile"
Liliana is the daughter of Alirio Zambrano and Derly María Ruiz, she is currently single, has no children and her hobbies are swimming and attending plays. His profession has allowed him to travel around the world during the last 8 years having the possibility to know different cultural places.

Regarding what she likes most about herself, Liliana commented that "the dedication with which I do things, my motivation, when I set myself a challenge, write, study, collaborate ... This is a point on which I work very hard; Be efficient and not get lost in the mess, I am still making progress day by day. My smile: give a smile to others, I feel that in this way life is transformed and it is more beautiful, I like to smile".

Another characteristic that stands out is his empathy, because he ensures that he puts himself in the shoes of others so as not to do what he would not like to be done.

"Putting myself in the first place, what I want, what I want, what I feel, to take myself into account, before I always left myself for the end and for a while here I am a priority for myself and that makes me happier, without expecting others; I cover my needs myself and I can, from that point, help and do things much better."
