20/01/2011 The Secretariat of Public Security of the capital (SSP-DF) and the National Council of Private Security signed an agreement to establish the bases to create a crime prevention network through joint actions through the training of members, which allows to promote security and the exchange of information.
With this, private security companies will have the opportunity to train their personnel in the facilities of the Technical Institute of Police Training, a situation that will serve to certify its operation.
According to the head of the capital police, Manuel Mondragón y Kalb, there are currently more than 600 companies with a population of more than 18 thousand users.
He warned that approximately 40% of these corporations still do not meet all the requirements and are being given the opportunity to upgrade.
In two years, around one hundred private security companies were closed because they did not have all the requirements for their operation.
Through the agreement, the Ministry of Public Security (SSP-DF) undertook to provide the facilities of the Technical Institute of Police Training (ITFP) for training in security, crime prevention, legitimate use of force, culture of denunciation and preservation of the place of the facts.
Also, the SSP-DF will incorporate a link on its website to disseminate the list of private security companies affiliated with the Council and will enable the Secretary's Attention Center (CAS), as a means of direct communication with them, to expedite their timely participation in case of emergency.
For its part, the Council will send a list of the representatives of its members to receive training in the ITFP, in addition to all affiliates being fully informed about the full range of services offered by the CAS.
