This type of attack can be useful in work environments in which a colleague asks you to print a document, and for this it provides you with a pendrive in which the document to be printed is along with a lot of data that the user, carelessly, keeps on the same device.
In this way, when connecting the USB device for printing the document, a complete copy of the contents of the disc will be produced and, although the owner of the pendrive is attentive to the actions carried out on it, it will be impossible to detect that a copy of all its information has been made.
From Apple Security we have developed a small script that performs this task and that you can always have running on your Mac OS X system to see what you "hunt". Normally people usually mix on their personal pen drives work documents, exchange data and things of high level of privacy.
