30% of the public analyzed do not have measures to prevent the loss or improper access to the medical records of patients, and 37% do not have a registry with all access to the confidential information they have. The AEPD described as "especially worrying" that 66% of public hospitals do not carry out a biannual safety audit, as required by law.

By region, the AEPD has detected that the hospitals of Murcia and La Rioja are those that present the highest levels of compliance with the law, while in the centers of Cantabria, the Canary Islands, Valencia and Aragon the non-compliance is greater, according to the concepts analyzed.
