International. Johnson Controls announces the launch of the C•CURE Go Install app for use with Software House's iSTAR Ultra LT driver. The new application features a more efficient and convenient way to configure or update the information on the iSTAR Ultra LT controller, without the need for physical access to the drive.
The built-in Bluetooth antenna, which can be turned on and off remotely to ensure network security, allows users to log into the C•CURE Go Install app to perform various tasks, such as configuring the controller's network parameters, restarting the device, and checking the operating status. The app is ideal for managing hard-to-reach iSTAR Ultra LT controllers, such as units located high above a door or behind panels on the ceiling.
Users who must work with the driver—such as internal security personnel, integrators, and installers—can use the password-protected application so they don't have to make changes or check the status directly from the driver.
"Using the C•CURE Go Install app with iSTAR Ultra LT drivers helps reduce disruptions caused by having to access the controller directly," said Rick Focke, Director of Enterprise Access Control Product Management, Building Solutions and Technologies, Johnson Controls. "There are more and more spaces, such as hospitals with sealed ceilings, where it is not possible to directly access the controller. Using this intuitive app represents a much more efficient option for performing a wide variety of tasks."
