Led videowall, an alternative that gains ground in the market

International. Christie reinforces its Apex Christie® Velvet® Series with the launch of the APEX 0.9mm LED videowall, a high-quality ultra-narrow pitch LED solution, which comes with the endorsement of Christie's unbeatable experience, knowledge and unparalleled customer service.

With a pixel pitch (physical distance between pixels) of ultra-fine magnitudes of between 0.9mm and 2.5mm, and an aspect ratio of 16:9, the contents of the Apex Series stand out for their great detail, a quality that makes it especially suitable for applications that demand the highest level of quality and clarity.

With a pixel distance of 0.96mm, the Apex 0.9 ensures stunning color reproduction and high, even brightness. The new release is scalable to popular resolutions in limited spaces, with the consequent reduction of optimal and minimum viewing distances. The Apex Series is a proprietary solution with high-quality components, which function as a system to ensure the best visual experience, maximize display time and provide the user with a security and peace of mind of use that other LED displays are not in a position to offer.

The video wall market is increasingly broad and complex, with a growing number of customers looking "in an ever-increasing spectrum of vertical markets". Concrete solutions that meet unique needs, explains Kevin Kelly, President and Chief Operating Officer of Stampede, one of the world's largest distributors in the AV Pro sector. Christie has proven time and again his ability to successfully adapt his solutions to any application, and that is what has led the company to the leadership position it holds today. With the launch of the APEX 0.9mm LED videowall, the Apex Christie Velvet Series reinforces its offer and becomes more flexible, putting itself at the service of a range of high quality options. We are proud to incorporate this new line into our distribution network.

Ted Romanowitz, senior product manager at Christie, sees it this way: We decided to reinforce our popular Apex Series to offer the customer looking for a high-quality LED video wall a greater variety of sizes and configurations. At Christie we are committed to offering more durable LED video walls, with superior quality components and features that reduce the total cost of ownership.

The Christie APEX 0.9mm LED video wall offers:

  • A 16:9 aspect ratio
  • Remote and redundant power supply
  • Front access
  • Thin design compatible with ADA standards
  • Advanced Monitoring Capability (SNMP)

Simplifying the decision-making process, the Christie Velvet LED videowall package offers the possibility of integrating a Full HD LED installation more easily. The package forms a complete solution, including Apex Series LEDs and ultra-thin pitch designed for business lobbies, command and control rooms, digital signage or architectural display applications. The process, very simple, begins with the choice of pixel pitch or the size of videowall that we are looking for. Christie's team takes care of everything else, including checking that all the LED hubs, power supply and wiring that are needed are quickly and easily available to integrate the video wall into the space for which it is intended. It is easy to extend the performance of the video wall by adding any of the optional technologies for processing and content management.

The Christie LED product website contains an interactive map where the customer installations distributed around the world are indicated, filtered according to the pixel pitch and the market: companies, education, entertainment, public administrations and commerce.
