Hikvision presents the turbo hd 4.0 solution

Latin America. Hikvision, the world's leading provider of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, announces the launch of its new Turbo HD 4.0 range, which offers ultra-low light performance and the ability to provide 8MP video images compared to conventional coaxial cable. Next-generation Turbo HD 4.0 products also leverage Hikvision's revolutionary H.265+ video compression technology, which provides staggering savings in bandwidth usage and storage requirements.

Hikvision introduced its first Turbo HD solution in 2014 and revolutionized analog security. After years of perfecting this powerful solution, Hikvision launched Turbo HD 4.0, a new revolution in high-definition video surveillance and performance.

8MP Performance, Power over Coax Technology
The first Turbo HD 4.0 products released to the market include 8 megapixel varifocal bullet cameras, and DVRs with 4K UHD HDMI outputs. The 8MP cameras offer the highest resolution available in an analog surveillance system. Models equipped with Hikvision's patented Power over Coax 2.0 (PoC) function also allow users to stream UHD video and power over the same coaxial cable, with faster, simpler and less expensive installations using existing infrastructure. As with Hikvision's previous product lines, Turbo, IP, Analog, Turbo HD and third-party AHD cameras are supported, providing a flexible upgrade path. The result is unparalleled performance for the end user coupled with a cost-effective installation.

H.265+ saves bandwidth and storage space
The Turbo HD 4.0 range not only supports the state-of-the-art H.265 video compression standard, but also offers Hikvision's revolutionary H.265+ video technology. H.265+ dramatically improves encoding efficiency: it reduces bandwidth requirements by 75% compared to H.264 and takes up half the storage space for the same amount of video images. It reduces bit transfer rates, but the transmission quality remains high. H.265+ is a breakthrough when it comes to video compression, and means significant storage cost savings for users.

Ultra-low light features
The new Turbo HD 4.0 range offers Hikvision's renowned ultra-low light recording capability to cameras using coaxial cable for the first time. With Hikvision's unique low-light technology, these cameras provide full-color video images in very low light such as 0.003 lux.
