International. Vivotek presented its two new corner-mount anti-ligature dome network cameras with CD8371-HNVF2 fixed lens and CD8371-HNTV varifocal lens. Both 3-megapixel corner dome network cameras feature an anti-grip design, a robust IK10 cover and 940nm IR illuminators invisible to the human eye.
Vivotek dome corner chambers are specially designed for high-security environments, such as prisons, holding cells, psychiatric wards, mental hospitals and correctional institutions, as they reduce the possibility of self-harm and simultaneously protect the safety of institutional staff.
Aware of the growing need for surveillance inside critical environments, Vivotek has developed the CD8371 HNVF2 and CD8371-HNTV models to meet the challenges of this demanding field. Its anti-grip edges are aimed at preventing self-harm and even suicide. Designed to be installed in the upper corner of a cell, corner dome cameras also allow security guards to see any event in the cells, thanks to the wide angle horizontal FOV (up to 108°) and vertical FOV (up to 79°). In addition, each device is provided with a robust IK10 anti-vandalism cover and IP66 weathering, so the camera is protected from weather contingencies and attempts at vandalism and manipulation. It is also equipped with shock detection and manipulation mechanisms in cases of attempted attacks. Thanks to a two-way audio system and a built-in microphone, sound can be clearly monitored and recorded up to 5 meters.
As professional day and night cameras, the CD8371-HNVF2 and CD8371-HNTV have 940nm IR illuminators with a range of up to 10 meters which gives them an invisible operation to the human eye, thus guaranteeing safety in total darkness. Thanks to WDR Pro technology, these cameras can capture the dark and bright areas of an image and combine the differences to generate a highly realistic representation of the original scene. They also feature SNV (Supreme Night Visibility) technology to ensure high-quality images even in low-light conditions. This superior visibility also allows them to eliminate unexpected incidents and deliver high-level security on a permanent basis in critical areas.
