International. Tyco Security Products introduces the latest version of Kantech's EntraPass security software with the EntraPass Go Pass mobile app, which allows card users to use their mobile devices as an access control credential.
The EntraPass 7.10 software also includes updates to its integration with Microsoft Windows Active Directory – which now automatically synchronizes users – and extends the availability of the EntraPass Go Install mobile app for installers to users with Android devices.
With the EntraPass Go Pass mobile app, card users can access doors by simply tapping the correct icon in the app when approaching a door or from anywhere in the world. Through a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, the app communicates directly with the access control system server, so organizations can leverage their existing card readers and, unlike other mobile credential technologies, save the costs of acquiring new infrastructure.
"The goal of this latest version of EntraPass is to provide the ultimate in usability to give customers the efficiency and flexibility needed for day-to-day operations," said Luis Delcampo, Product and Marketing Manager of Tyco Security Products' Access Control line for Latin America "With EntraPass 7.10, both end users and installers can enjoy greater functionality related to mobile credentials and one-touch configuration, which allows significant cost savings in hardware and installation time."
With the EntraPass Go Install mobile app, installers with Android devices can now configure the KT-1 and KT-400 access controllers with just one tap on their mobile devices. QR code scanning functionality automatically completes the MAC address and serial number of the access controller. In this way, the installation is faster and the possibility of making mistakes when entering the data manually is eliminated. The app includes a wizard that guides the commissioning process to make sure no device is left out. It also allows installers to save photos and notes to make work easier during subsequent visits. In addition, its ability to associate compatible Exacq cameras and pre-configured DSC PowerSeries Neo devices makes the installation process even easier. New features of the app include the ability to edit relays and inputs, and to view events.
The software makes it easy to migrate existing Kantech drivers to new models and eliminates the need to reprogram access levels, triggers, graphs, reports, and exceptions for doors. In this way, installers can migrate configurations from a KT-200 or KT-300 driver to a KT-400, or from a KT-100 to a KT-1.
EntraPass 7.10 now allows users to manage integrations with ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless locks from the EntraPass web client. The EntraPass app includes a redesign of relay and input quick actions.
