Hikvision introduces advanced thermal cameras

Latin America. Continuously seeking the advancement of technology in high-end surveillance markets, Hikvision announces thermal cameras. Customers around the world are pleased to learn about Hikvision's full product offering for vertical solutions.

All objects with a temperature above absolute zero emit some degree of thermal radiation. This type of radiation, which is not visible to the human eye, can be detected by thermal sensors. Hikvision thermal sensors are not affected by darkness or variations in weather conditions such as rain, fog or snow. These cameras constitute a platform on which it is possible to build more efficient 24/7 surveillance systems.

Thermal products offer surveillance capabilities that traditional visualizations cannot. Integrated with its self-developed thermal imaging module, Hikvision thermal cameras capture high-resolution HD video of moving objects at resolutions up to 640 x 512 pixels, without the hindrance of darkness or inclement weather. These cameras also offer greater detail for post-event research.

Hikvision thermal cameras include three innovative features in improving image quality: automatic gain control, digital detail enhancement and 3D digital noise reduction, to make these images sharper.

Equipped with onboard video analytics, Hikvision thermal cameras boast a full range of "smart" features including line crossing detection and intrusion detection for perimeter protection. In addition, anomalous temperature and fire detection helps prevent fires, structural hazards, and many other threats.

Thermal imaging is critical for open and expansive areas such as borders, coastlines and forests. They are very comfortable in applications such as perimeter surveillance, ports and docks, critical infrastructure, processing and manufacturing plants, as well as for other similar and demanding security environments.

Hikvision thermal cameras are available in single and dual lens models. Dual-lens models add optical cameras along with thermal cameras, offering thermal and standard images at the same time. This allows security personnel to better identify targets. The optical lens helps capture images in a resolution of 1920 x 1080p day and night. The smart tracking function is also available on Speed Dome cameras.
