Rains drive electrical protection equipment market

Latin America. The rainy season is the time of year where electricity peaks break down or affect between 35 to 40 percent of computers, televisions and other connected devices at home or in the company, which represents millionaire losses for their owners and users, warned the Mexican manufacturer Complet.

Horacio Aguirre, commercial director and Jesús Mezquita, Key Account Manager of this manufacturer of regulators, No Brakes and UPS for data centers, warned about the risks that electronic equipment runs in the face of voltages that reach peaks of up to 140 volts or more, when the normal voltage is around 127 volts, reason why this period would favor positively in the rebound of the commercialization of this type of equipment through the channel.

The leading Mexican manufacturer in the manufacture of electrical protection equipment with a trajectory of 33 years in the Mexican market and whose commercialization is only through the channel, stressed that they are currently evangelizing the channel through commercial training and free certifications so that they know the wide opportunities that the market offers today.

Horacio Aguirre, commercial director of Complet, reported that its electrical protection equipment such as regulators, No Brakes and UPS are currently distributed through the wholesalers Ingram Micro, CT Internacional, FH, S Mayorista,  CVA, and a network of regional wholesalers in the interior of the country, providing a profit margin, depending on the wholesaler, of between 30 and 45% for their channels.

The executive also explained that its job as a manufacturer is not only to sell the quality equipment through one of its wholesalers, but also offers benefits to the channel such as support with demo material, presence and support during the process of sale, distribution and execution of guarantees; processes that have ISO 9000 certifications, and are applicable regardless of the volume of the purchase.

Aguirre stressed that his initiatives and work with the channel are based on a study carried out by the company where it was identified that at the level of companies, only 30 to 35 out of 100 protect their equipment, "that is, most do not give electrical security to their devices, with the risks that this can imply such as the loss of information."

For his part, Mezquita, key account manager, pointed out that many companies and even home users already understand that acquiring a regulator, No Brake or UPS, is an investment in favor of the company or equipment that is expensive.

In Mexico, the Complet brand is the main one in this sector, whose teams are also focused on the Mexican market and have become an ally of companies, because it also offers support and guidance to corporate customers for the adequate protection of their equipment, they highlighted.
