Latin America. Tripp Lite, a leader in the design and manufacture of power protection and connectivity equipment, increases its offer with the SU120KX2 three-phase UPS, intelligent and modular from the SmartOnline family with double conversion technology and 100% availability in redundant and parallel architecture for data centers.
The capacity of 120 KVA/96,000 watts, highlights its operation in three-phase electrical systems of 220/380V at 50/60Hz, in a star connection of four wires plus ground; this allows it to be integrated into environments of high electricity consumption and at the same time operate in ecological mode that allows it to achieve an energy efficiency of up to 97%.
Miguel Monterrosas, Director of Support at Tripp Lite Mexico, noted that "This SmartOnline SU120KX2 is ideal for providing backup power and electrically protecting data centers, VoIP telecommunications systems, data networks, industrial facilities, emergency or security systems, as well as mission-critical systems."
"Its wide range of input voltage regulation from 173/300VAC to 276/477 VAC, delivers a configurable output voltage of up to +/- 1% with static charges and its battery system (optional) can reach an autonomy of up to 2 hours at 100% of its operating capacity, or greater with lower loads."
Likewise, Monterrosas stressed that the modular N+1 design of the SU120KX2 allows to replace in Hot-Swap form any of its six autonomous modules of power of 20 kVA; as well as connect in parallel 2, 3 or 4 SU120KX2 to enable advanced fail-safe redundancy configurations, increase the load capacity up to 480 kVA/384kw.
The executive added that the operation of this UPS allows energy savings and reduces the heat output on the site, and thanks to its IGBT inverter and its Digital Signal Processor (DSP) it produces less than 4% of total harmonic distortion at the input (THDi), which reduces installation costs by allowing the coupling of the electrical installation and / or the emergency plant in a ratio of 1: 1.
The SU120KX2 expands the SmartOnline UPS family and increases its capacity and benefits in the business of distributors, by offering them a UPS that allows shutdown and monitoring actions from a computer equipment with PowerAlert Local software; in the same sense, its auxiliary slot supports an optional network card that supports the SNMP protocol (Model: SNMPWEBCARD) for shutdown, remote restart, sending alerts and notifications via email, among other functions.
Finally, Monterrosas explained that the combined LCD/LED screen of the front panel, informs users about the different problems and modes of operation (such as the cold start of the UPS) and its emergency port (EPO) supports the remote emergency shutdown of the equipment in high security installations.
It has a two-year limited warranty, PowerAlert software and instruction manual. The Tripp Lite commissioning program is necessary to ensure the reliability of the installation.
