Bosch Safety Systems facilitates the interface of fire detection and voice evacuation systems

Latin America. Bosch Security Systems introduced a new version of its Smart Safety Link, which further facilitates the interface of fire panels and voice evacuation systems.

The Smart Safety Link uses the IP protocol to connect the fire panels and Bosch voice evacuation systems, configuring them correctly. He offers support to each unique connection, no matter how many zones have been configured in the evacuation system.

The IP connection replaces four relay-based connections per zone and thus drastically decreases installation effort and error propensity. This also increases operational reliability, because the IP connection is continuously monitored. Future extensions do not require additional cables, because they can be implemented through software.

The new version of the Smart Safety Link offers support for the Bosch Modular Fire Panel Series 5000 and S Series 1200, as well as for the Prasideo and Paviro voice evacuation systems. Depending on the application, one or multiple voice evacuation systems are connected to the networked fire panels, allowing the development of customized solutions.

This flexibility and modular design of the systems allow the installer to easily adapt the solution to a customer's specific requirements. In addition to this, the Smart Safety Link eliminates the need to install specific and additional interface modules between voice evacuation systems, simplifying the design of the solution and further increasing reliability.

In the case of an alarm, a fire panel can activate the respective zone within the voice evacuation system. To do this, the Smart Safety Link by Voice allows the evacuation to be dynamically adapted to the structure of the building. Each floor is individually treated and evacuated safely, depending on the situation. This increases safety and ensures an optimized evacuation process. The safety team can interact with the solution, using the touch screen of the fire panel.

For system integrators, the Smart Safety Link is a very efficient tool for fast and reliable integration of fire panel and voice evacuation systems. This solution is more flexible and expandable than common connections and reduces installation time, for example from two hours to two seconds in ten evacuation zones.
