International. AirLive FE-200VD is a fisheye anti-vandalism dome camera with several functions that make it a team of great versatility and, above all, of enormous resistance to strong impacts and severe environments.
Its vandal-proof IP66 housing protects it not only from malicious attacks and adverse weather conditions, but also from unintentional or unexpected blows that could be received by some maneuver within the facilities. And if we talk about its robustness, it was recently tested: not only did it overcome the blows received but, after the tests carried out, it was possible to verify that despite having suffered damages that affected its physical integrity, the dome continued to function normally.
This report includes the details provided by the technicians who provided the technical support at the facilities of the company that uses the AirLive camera. The event took place at the facilities of the company Tecnored (In-Tech Ltda.), located in the town of Curauma, in the V Region of Chile.
"Days ago I was requested by one of the local integrators, who has been promoting and using our products in Chile, to check a camera that was virtually destroyed by a boom truck (12 tons) (it is a truck that incorporates a self-loading crane; "boom" means the structural component of the crane capable of supporting the loaded apprehension organ, ensuring the required reach and lifting height) in one of its facilities.
The camera involved in this event was an AirLive FE-200VD and was hit by the boom of that moving vehicle inside the shed where it was operating and violently torn from its installation site," explains Ivar Michelena Viti, Airlive Sales Technical Support Latin America Continent of AirLive.
Despite the brutality of the impact, the hostile environment in which the chamber performed (subjected to abundant dust, humidity, diesel vehicle emissions), "when I did the review of it," adds Michelena Viti, "I found it with obvious traces of the impact and environmental pollution. However, the camera was working perfectly, delivering premium images, and communicating efficiently over the IP network, responding to input signals and triggering output signals in the DIDO."
