New FLIR ID Thermal Security Cameras - FC Series with Built-in Analysis Features

Latin America. FLIR Systems, Inc. announced the launch of the FLIR ID - FC Series thermal security cameras, the newest models in its FC lineup. THE FC Series ID thermal cameras combine built-in analysis for high-performance intrusion detection, industry-leading image quality designed for all commercial users, and a wide selection of high-performance lenses to meet a wide range of applications.

THE FC Series ID cameras provide, in a single device, best-in-class in terms of detailed thermal imaging based on built-in edge video analysis. The cameras feature custom line-crossing alarms and easy-to-create regions of interest. They are also able to automatically detect and classify intrusions from humans, vehicles and others, significantly reducing the number of false alarms.

THE FC Series ID cameras  allow heat to be displayed instead of light and as a result, provide images with superior quality to what would normally be considered difficult conditions for visible light cameras or cameras with infrared illuminators. By visualizing only thermal energy, the cameras allow to visualize clearly in complete darkness, without lighting and are immune to the effects of sunlight, shadows, smoke, fog, insects and even light fog. As a result, FC Series ID cameras provide reliable and permanent intrusion protection by significantly reducing false alarms.

In addition, FC Series ID cameras are available with a wide selection of high-performance lenses, ranging from wide-angle to small fields of view, with VGA or QVGA resolution. Combined with a selectable resolution of 320 or 640, FC Series ID cameras offer more display and resolution options than any other line of commercial thermal security cameras.

"Our new FLIR ID FC Series cameras are built on top of the industry's most popular line of thermal security cameras," said John Distelzweig, Vice President and General Manager of FLIR's Security Segment. "The new cameras offer security professionals maximum operational availability along with the lowest false alarm rates by utilizing the latest edge thermal video analysis."

The FC Series ID camera will be available for purchase through FLIR dealers in late 2015. For more information on the FLIR ID FC Series camera, visit: www.flir.com/fc-id
