International. Samsung has incorporated a variety of new features in the updated version of the iPOLiS Mobile application. Its design allows remote access to live images in HD, whether on a smartphone or tablet, much easier while avoiding unauthorized access to confidential data.
iPOLiS Mobile v2.6 allows you to remotely and directly monitor multiple HD cameras in different locations. But the highlight is that now it is no longer necessary to access the images through a recording device.
"The iPOLiS Mobile app is more secure and intuitive. In addition, it has allowed us to add the 'Favorites' feature, which we are sure will be very popular with security personnel," says Tim Biddulph, Head of Product and Marketing at Samsung Techwin Europe. "A clear advantage of this feature is, for example, that security or loss prevention managers can add to their favorites the cameras of those stores that they need to keep track of more thoroughly."
iPOLiS Mobile v2.6 also supports audio and Samsung's IP network domes and cameras, including PTZ models.
In addition to being able to monitor live images, iPOLiS Mobile version 2.6 allows authorized users to access camera SD cards, DVRs or NVRs to search and play back recordings of any incident. Users, who have the option to view their favorite camera and DVR and NVR profiles in quadrant format, can easily switch between live images and images recorded on multiple cameras and recorders.
This free app can be downloaded from iTunes and Google Play. Setting it up takes no more than a minute. The auto-detect function allows you to search for new devices easily so that users can view the images of the desired cameras by WIFI, 3G or 4G connection.
