Here are some best practices to follow when installing the product:
1. Determine the optimal microphone placement.
Verifact ® A picks up sounds from up to 15 feet away. To maximize audio quality, be sure to install the Verifact ® A microphone as close as possible to the supervised object, which is usually at a distance of 4/8 feet.
2. Adjust the microphone to fit the acoustic environment.
The Verifact ® Una included within the ASK-4 ® KIT #101 noise has a sensitivity switch that can be moved from "N" (normal) to "L" (low) to help reduce the background. It is recommended that you adjust the sensitivity switch before turning up the volume of the base station.
3. Beware of areas that affect performance.
It is not recommended to place microphones in corners, near ventilation systems, near noisy electrical or electronic components, doors and reflective surfaces, as they hinder audio performance.
