Latin America. Pelco by Schneider Electric recently announced that the Sentry DSSRV2 Digital Recording System received the Platinum Award in the Video Management Systems category in the competition for the 2015 GOVIES Government Security Awards.
According to the organizers, an independent panel of judges in the security industry chose the best solutions for the 2015 categories and named the winners based on criteria such as: features, innovation, user-friendliness, interoperability, quality, design, market opportunity, technological advances, scalability and impact on the security industry.
Specifically, Pelco by Schneider Electric's Sentry DSSRV2 Digital Recording System is recognized for its compliance with the Information Protection and Defense Risk Management Framework (DIARMF), a critical compliance for Department of Defense applications, where it is vital to protect information.
"Pelco by Schneider Electric has been a leading proponent of the information security initiative for several years now," said Kevin Carpenter, Executive Manager of The Enterprise Government Accounts at Pelco by Schneider Electric. "This is a requirement for mission-critical missions requested by many of our clients in government agencies and we are honored to have received this recognition."
The GOVIES awards are offered to distinguish outstanding products in the field of security in several categories. The awards were presented during the ISC West show, which took place April 15-17 at the Sand Exhibition Center, located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
