International. The manufacturer of comprehensive IP video security solutions, IndigoVision, recently announced that it has added the audio forensics feature to its management system. This feature allows you to transmit and record two-way audio with integral synchronization and high sound quality along with the images, in addition to facilitating a quick search for incidents through video analysis of audio and video.
The company also highlighted that audio forensic analytics favor the task of operators to search for recorded material more quickly and dynamically than with a passive search by listening to the audio during video playback.
"Being able to identify an incident that occurs outside the camera's field of vision (for example, a broken window or a scream) offers another way to look for evidence of the facts," company representatives said during the product presentation.
It was also explained that the identification of incidents is done through an audio search filter that provides on-screen results with small images (Thumbnails) arranged in chronological order, which makes it easier for operators to search for recordings in a matter of seconds.
"When the existence of an important fact is identified, it is enough to double-click on the image to play audio and video from that moment in time," he stresses.
Other uses of the audio system include electric doormen, help points distributed throughout the city, surveillance systems and message transmission. For its part, the function of the audio system allows to transmit pre-recorded messages automatically when an alarm signal is triggered.
IndigoVision published a white paper entitled "Understanding Audio Analytics," which can be found in the "Learn" section on the company's website in www.indigovision.com
