Chile. Last year the IT services market in Chile increased to US$592 million according to the latest IDC Chile IT Services Tracker 2006 study, representing an approximate growth of 8% compared to 2005. For the study, IDC divided the IT services market into twelve areas. The main Information Systems Outsourcing, recorded a total investment of US$137 million; the Systems Integration market gained a share of US$89 million and the third place was taken by Software Deploy and Support with US$63 million. According to Carina Löbel, senior analyst software & IT services at IDC Chile, for 2011 the Systems Integration sector is expected to be the fastest growing with 20.71%, followed by the functional Software as a Service market with 15.80%.
