Colombia. With the participation of more than 100 experts and six exhibitors, the Colombia 2025 edition of the Building Automation Days by KNX LATAM event took place in Bogota, focused on building automation and interoperability under the KNX standard.
The meeting brought together actors from the architecture, engineering, automation, electronic security, HVAC and AV sectors, as well as representatives of the National Government and the National Police of Colombia, who participated in technical training and commercial relations spaces.
During the course of the day, exhibitions on sustainability, energy efficiency and technological integration were held. In addition, places for business linkage were provided, such as a business lunch and networking sessions.
In the academic section, the KNX ETS software upgrade seminar stood out, led by Carlos Castro, CEO of the Sayros Group and KNX partner.
The agenda included presentations by:
Juan Palomino, President of the KNX Colombia National Group, who offered a technical comparison between KNX and other standards, pointing out its advantages in structure and interoperability.
Luis Fernando Mulcue, PhD in solar energy, who addressed the integration of photovoltaic energy with KNX.
Esteban Martínez, COO and co-founder of Green Loop, who presented models of return on investment in sustainable constructions.
Alejandra Casilimas and David Ricardo González, from Double C by Conconcreto, who shared real use cases in Colombia related to water and energy saving.
Sandra Mariño and Pablo Ossa, from Zennio, who presented KNX automation solutions applied to hotels and homes.
The event also included the official announcement of the Latin America Building Automation Summit 2026, which will be held on November 11 and 12, 2026 in Medellín, Colombia. According to Víctor Alarcón and Kristel Osorio, the summit will have an exclusive room dedicated to automation in general, in addition to hosting the KNX LATAM Summit.
Building Automation Days by KNX LATAM, Colombia edition, concluded as a regional meeting point for technical updating, the presentation of solutions and the construction of strategic links between public and private actors in the sector.
