Mexico. The company AI27 presented Elías, a virtual assistant based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) through which it hopes to transform efficiency and safety in cargo transport.
The creation of Elijah represents a significant leap from its predecessor, SofIA. While it was created in collaboration with a foreign supplier, the new virtual assistant is 100% Mexican, as it is developed by AI27, a company that uses Artificial Intelligence to protect cargo transport. Thanks to the fact that it uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology, a branch of Artificial Intelligence that helps computers understand and interpret human language, it is able to understand operators, even when they use jargon or colloquial expressions. For example, you know that a hookah refers to the resting place for carriers.
"Unlike SofIA, our previous virtual assistant, Elías always manages to recognize the situation and the context of the conversation he is having and, if the operator tries to evade an answer, he persists in asking the same question until he obtains the desired information. In this case, if it needs to know what load the tractor carries, and they respond with the license plate number, it detects the error and will insist," said Raúl Betancourt, director of Data Science at AI27.
In addition, this technology developed by AI27 is designed to recognize a feint key, a word that allows the operator to warn if he needs immediate support when, for security reasons, he is not in a position to give more detail.
If Elías notices something unusual during the trip, he contacts the operator and asks for this password. If the response does not match that previously provided by the truck owner, it triggers a silent alert so as not to endanger the driver's life, but allows protective actions to be executed immediately.
"Another advantage of this system is the recognition of the feint keys, a task that SofIA did not perform. Let's imagine that the key word of a transport line is "everything correct", if Elías communicates with the driver because he detected unusual activity on the trip and he responds "yes, I continue on my way" he will know that he is in danger and will alert the AI27 reaction team," Betancourt said.
More than a virtual assistant, it is a solution tailored to the challenges of the Mexican industry, as it takes automation to the next level, offering constant monitoring and communication with operators, which allows it to detect and respond to risks in real time, 24/7.
"We are proud of the integration of Elías into our processes, reaffirming our commitment to safety on Mexico's roads by implementing state-of-the-art technology. Our mission is to protect carriers through innovative solutions that guarantee risk prevention throughout their journey," concluded the Director of Data Science at AI27.
