Mexico. The security infrastructure was expanded with the installation of 200 more cameras in various parts of the city, which offers greater protection in emergency situations and strengthens crime prevention.
"200 cameras are being integrated, of which 50 cameras are for a panic button. In addition, of the 200 cameras we have, 50 are for identifying license plates and people's faces. These have the ability to rotate 360 degrees and a great clear range of up to 150 meters," said José García, representative of the company Lepad de México S.A.
García added that the new scheme has coverage that exceeds 70% percent of the population, from the industrial zone of Toluca to the limits with the neighboring municipality of Zinacantepec.
In turn, the authorities specified that the new 200 points that are currently being implemented add up to a total of 296 urban video surveillance cameras, if considered by number of equipment, for a total of 80 intelligent monitoring points.
Additionally, to complement the infrastructure that the municipality currently has, the Command Center shares through a mirror system the monitoring of 155 video surveillance points corresponding to the state infrastructure managed by the C5 of the Government of the State of Mexico.
