International. ISC West, the leading comprehensive and converged security trade event in the United States, will take place at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, April 9-12. In turn, SIA Education@ISC will take place from April 9 to 11 and the exhibition hall will be open from April 10 to 12.
Attendees will enjoy a wide range of activities, through which they will be able to discover the latest innovations in security, cultivate professional relationships, learn from industry experts and much more, throughout the four days of the event.
Ventas de Seguridad spoke with Mary Beth Shaughnessy, ISC Event Vice President, about what the next edition of the show will be.
What are the differentiating aspects of ISC West compared to other security fairs held on the continent?
As the country's flagship destination for cutting-edge security know-how, we look forward to providing an enriching experience. With more than 700 exhibitors, attendees can take their security knowledge to the next level by exploring industry-leading brands and products, while interacting with thousands of security professionals.
Located right in the heart of the show, the SIA New Products + Solutions Awards exhibit area will be a must-see for attendees interested in what's new and cutting-edge in today's industry. The SIA NPS awards program reflects the evolution of the security industry and the convergence of physical and cybersecurity products. ISC West also works towards the growth and development of young professionals. That's why the Career Zone will offer programming aimed at next-generation leaders in the field of security. With sessions on leadership, emerging technology, and more, attendees will learn skills they can incorporate into their workplaces.
Plus, the fan-favorite Headshot Studio is also making a comeback! Finally, this year the event will focus on sustainability. ISC West is on a journey towards waste disposal, prioritizing environmental stewardship with the goal of diverting 90% or more of its material waste from landfills. We look forward to working with our exhibitors and attendees to minimize the environmental impact of the event and contribute to a sustainable future.
Could you tell us what activities we will find in the next edition of ISC West, to be held in April?
Each year, we strive to update our offerings to provide our attendees and exhibitors with the best experience possible. This year is no exception, and below are some of the many events that will take place.
First, we're excited to present ISC West's first concert, whose headliner will be Grammy winner The Wallflowers (title sponsor: Wavelynx). This performance will take place on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:00 p.m., just as the performance hall closes, on the main stage. The concert is free and open to all credential holders, but will be a limited-attendance event.
Attendees at The Bridge will also be able to enjoy free education, including a session presented by Theresa Payton, the White House's first female CIO and cybersecurity expert. From dynamic speakers to highly anticipated award ceremonies, including the SIA NPS Awards, the Mission 500 5K Run/2K Walk Awards, and the SAMMY Awards, The Bridge stands as the center of action.
On our main stage, attendees will also hear from our dynamic trio of speakers, who will headline a series of ISC West keynotes. In these presentations, professionals will gain a greater understanding of how cutting-edge safety innovations affect countless aspects of our lives, from homeland security to our favorite sports leagues, workplace productivity, and everything in between.
What are the main topics on the academic agenda that you will develop within the framework of the event?
SIA Education@ISC is an integral part of our programming. With an industry that is constantly evolving, it's important for attendees to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends. The main topics of this year's program are access control, identity management, cybersecurity, IT, strategic management, and business development. In addition, the program will have many offerings this year, including Tech Talks, AI and digital transformation topics, as well as user experience (UX).
