GSX 2023 attendance exceeds all projections

United States. Around 16,000 people from 95 countries participated in the latest edition of the Global Security Exchange (GSX), held between September 11 and 13 in Dallas, Texas.

This was reported by ASIS International, the organizing association of the event that also had 470 exhibitors and 218 educational sessions.

"I couldn't be prouder of the success of our conference and trade show. GSX isn't just an event; it is a testament to the passion, dedication and collective brilliance of our members and ASIS staff. Together we create an extraordinary experience for security professionals around the world," said Tim McCreight, President of ASIS International.

In Tuesday's general session, former President George Bush discussed his tenure, conflicts abroad and the Sept. 11 attacks. On the same day, the Global Safety Report 2023, commissioned by Allied Universal and its international company G4S, was released.

Finally, on Wednesday, September 13, the Day of Appreciation to the Armed Forces and Security Forces was celebrated. The day was attended by former CIA officer and FBI special agent Tracy Walder. In his speech, Walder identified what he considers the three most urgent threats facing the United States: fragile states, China and domestic terrorism.

In addition, rapid learning sessions and demonstrations of the latest drone platforms, UAS counterattack systems and ground robots were held throughout the three days of the event.

"With world-class educational programming, networking events and opportunities to meet with industry-leading solution providers, we are proud to advance the security profession in significant ways," said Peter O'Neil, CEO of ASIS International.
