International. A report recently released by Grand View Research Inc. estimates that the wireless network security market will grow to $59.66 billion, with a CAGR of 12.5%, between 2023 and 2030.
According to Grand View Research, such a projection is supported by the increase in cyberattacks, the growing adoption of Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) policies and advances in wireless networking solutions.
Among the latter, the report includes mentions of unified threat solutions, identity and access management (IAM), intrusion prevention and detection systems (IPS and IDS, respectively), among others.
Wireless network security is crucial for businesses
The researchers argue that the pandemic "boosted the concept of working from home" and accelerated the adoption of wireless devices, forcing companies to look for solutions to strengthen security, safeguard their information, and protect themselves from unauthorized access and malicious activity.
Additionally, advancements in emerging technologies such as machine learning, big data analytics, AI, blockchain, and cloud computing are creating a positive outlook for the wireless network security market.
Among the sectors with the greatest interest in raising their protection standards are retail, BFSI, healthcare, government and defense, transportation and logistics, energy and utilities, and education, among others.
In July 2022, a provider of IT systems and data solutions for doctors and analysts, NHS Digital, opened the Wireless Centre of Excellence to develop cutting-edge wireless network security technologies for hospitals and medical facilities connected via the 5G network.
