Latin America. Alai Secure reached an agreement with the transport company, Mapon, for the operation of its fleet with the multi-carrier and multi-country M2M/IoT communications solution designed by the Spanish brand.
Mapon, a company belonging to Draugiem Group, an international association of IT companies based in Latvia, specializes in fleet control and asset tracking, and is currently expanding its business in Latin America, where it has already chosen Chile and Colombia as its next destinations.
The new multi-operator SIM of Alai Secure allows you to operate with guarantees in the new countries, homogenizing the service and greatly speeding up start-up times. Its simcard, specially designed for machine-to-machine communications, and its suite of security services Alai Protect, allow Mapon to have an M2M/IoT communications solution with which to offer its customers a fleet management and asset tracking service, especially in countries such as Chile and Colombia, which have a complicated orography, with remote areas where coverage is actually very poor.
The multi-operator/multi-coverage capability of Alai's SIMcard makes it possible to offer guaranteed average mobile coverage in all locations, ensuring connectivity and service availability in the event of poor coverage or a downage in the mobile operator's network.
The Alai Secure solution allows Mapon to offer, with guarantees, its fleet management and asset tracking service, and to make available to its customers a telemetry system of its fleet of operational vehicles to know, in real time, consumption parameters such as: location, temperature control, fuel control, consumption patterns, etc. Through this telemetry data, the client has a powerful consultation and asset management tool that helps them improve the productivity and efficiency of their company in a sustainable way.
Alai Secure, with the aim of adding value to the solution deployed for Mapon, puts at your disposal its self-management platform, which allows you to operate, in real time, your park of deployed SIMs, activations, deactivations, consumption control, status modifications, reports, orders, etc.
Mapon expects to end the year with more than 1,000 devices connected in Chile through the Alai Secure M2M/IoT SIM card and begin offering service in Colombia during the second half of the year. Its telemetry system for fleet control and management allows its customers to optimize their operations and achieve sustainable logistics in vehicle performance, thus reducing operating costs.
