Latin America. Dahua launched the latest IPC WizMind S series, which according to the brand offers greater computing power, equipped with multiple intelligent functions.
According to Dahua this solution maintains "the accumulated technology of the IPC WizMind 5 series, the IPC WizMind S series takes the user experience to a whole new level in terms of image excellence meeting the requirements of various application scenarios".
It also ensures that the devices of this series offer adaptability and even come in a plastic-free packaging, which allows for better image performance, "promotes environmental sustainability and gives global customers smarter vision and stronger protection."
WizMind S and its image effect
The WizMind IPC series features AI-powered imagery. "As the name suggests, it is created through AI and provides complete image clarity of various environments." For example, the overall brightness of low-light footage is more balanced and key targets can be intelligently focused via a deep learning algorithm to remove noise and restore detail.
In addition, this series is equipped with WDR technology that automatically adjusts overexposure or underexposure, and even makes moving objects in the image clear and recognizable. It also has time division exposure technology for clearer snapshots when using smart features (e.g. video metadata).
On the other hand, it stands out that you can use Deeplight, which is an improved low-light image effect of Starlight and Starlight+, which uses a deep learning algorithm to process images, which reduces image noise and achieves optimal images with greater clarity and better color details at night.
In Dahua's words, another unique feature of the IPC WizMind S series "is the image distortion correction that adopts a distortion correction algorithm to capture more natural and realistic video sequences. Compared to previous products, activating this function significantly reduces the loss in the field of view of the scene."
Finally, this new series stands out for having multiple intelligent functions, such as video metadata, which detect human, vehicular and non-motorized targets, instant shots and precise attribute analysis, in addition to coming equipped with intelligent sound detection, which distinguishes between different sounds, such as screams and glass breakage.
According to Dahua, improved heatmap functionality (which can be used in conjunction with people counting) and other smart features including face detection, intelligent detection of abandoned or lost objects; Enhanced perimeter protection to better recognize specific human and vehicle target activities, such as intrusion, line crossing, fast-moving targets, parking, loitering and gathering, among others.
