International. March Networks announced the purchase of the FOCUS business analytics platform from DoIT Software Sp.Z.o.o based in Gliwice, Poland. The transaction accelerates its transition to cloud video and gives March Networks a new cloud-based data analytics platform that will be integrated into its existing Searchlight software, expanding its ability to deliver business and operational intelligence to its customers.
March Networks completed the acquisition on Oct. 1. Most of DoIT Software's staff will join the newly established March Networks Poland and the facility will serve as the company's newly created development hub for advanced data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Searchlight is a flexible platform that combines high-definition video surveillance with various data sources, including transactional data from point-of-sale systems, AI-enabled camera metadata, and other forms of sensor-driven data to give organizations a complete view of their business. With the platform, businesses can address security and fraud issues, while gaining insight into operational, compliance, and sales and marketing issues.
With the new focus software integration, Searchlight will be further enhanced so that all data lives in the cloud. A user interface will also feature customizable reports and dashboards, allowing customers to set up a multitude of reports, set key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor trends, and set improvement goals. Multiple data sources can be linked, analyzed, and visualized, giving customers a more complete view of their business.
Today, 15,000 business locations worldwide use March Networks Searchlight™, including multinational retailers and financial institutions, major restaurant chains and leading convenience stores. Once the integration with Focus is complete, these customers will be able to upgrade to the new cloud-based platform and take advantage of its scalability and flexibility.
March Networks aims to launch the next evolution of Searchlight integrated with the cloud-based FOCUS platform in the first quarter of 2023. Current Searchlight customers hosted on March Networks will be able to access the new platform on a trial basis, while still using the same features that exist today.
