Mexico. Panduit has opened its second manufacturing plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León. Which means for the brand an improvement of processes and a reinforcement of its supply chain for the manufacture of selected products on demand (MTO), while supporting the creation of jobs in the state.
"The strategic decision to develop a new plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León not only means speeding up the company's response times and offering a better service, but also the generation of new jobs in the country," says Carlos Arochi, director of Panduit Latam.
The new building spans 7,803 square meters (83,990 square feet) and began operations in late January 2022. By the end of this year, 280 new direct jobs are expected to be created in the region as a result of the plant's activities.
"The production of on-demand manufacturing solutions at our Monterrey plant is motivated by Panduit's interest in meeting the real needs of the market," says Carlos Arochi. "With this decision, distributors and channel integrators will be able to better manage technological solutions, in addition to having a faster and more efficient response to the current demand of Latin American companies."
In September 2007, Panduit opened its first plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León, to support the growing global demand for electrical and grid infrastructure solutions for enterprise, industrial and data center environments. In 2010, Panduit continued to support the needs of its customers by expanding this facility.
"The Mexican industry continues to grow favorably and the region shows a clear interest in digital transformation. We are sure that the investments made during 15 years in Nuevo León will significantly support the digital transformation of the various sectors in Mexico and the region. The opening of a second location underscores the growth opportunity for Panduit," concludes Jorge Bleizeffer, commercial manager of Panduit's north, west and pacific zone of Mexico.
