Latin America. ConsorcioTec, in its commitment to promote the scope of the offer of its integrating members and seek strategic alliances, is now part of Asohost, an association that ensures to have high needs for security solutions, so both entities will benefit from this articulation.
In other words, this new adhesion generates great opportunities for the integrators members of ConsorcioTec, since it allows them to access, with their service offers, the 1,300 associates that are part of Asohost, an entity that was formed 6 months ago, breaking records of scope in Colombia, if compared with similar unions that have been in the market for decades, which, according to its growth curve, will be able to reach 3,200 members by 2023.
What is Asohost?
The Colombian Association of Tourism Service Providers through Digital Platforms, or ASOHOST, is a guild that seeks the democratization of tourism. His work focuses on the bidders of the hospitality sector that are part of the collaborative and circular economies, regardless of their size, seeking the establishment of alliances, the formalization of the sector and bring the advantages of tourism to the most remote regions of the country (Colombia), to generate decent jobs and a sustainable commercial activity over time.
Although it has little time to create, Asohost is an active member in the installation of the Permanent Accidental Commission of horizontal property of the Congress of the Republic and has managed to join 1,300 people providing tourism services. The general data, provided by the association, is that there are around 50,000 people who offer these services in Colombia and are formalized, that is, they have the permission of the National Tourism Registry (RNT), an issue for which they are working to promote formalization in all other bidders who do it informally, so that they can access the benefits that having this registry and Asohost offer them.
Benefits of the alliance
Milena Castaño, administrative director of ConsorcioTec, said:
"This new alliance is strategic from several points of view. On the one hand, it implies more and better integration projects for our members, with which they obtain greater commercial visibility and increase their business opportunities. On the other hand, it also contributes to the consolidation of the ConsorcioTec brand and its benefits, with which we can grow as a program".
In that sense, Juan Camilo Vargas, executive director of Asohost, said that the guild he represents has an important demand for technology.
"Not only do we need the equipment, we also need the integration of these devices, which is why we consider ConsorcioTec to be an important ally, as it meets this need for installation and commissioning of technological solutions. In that order of ideas, we hope to participate in the networking of ConsorcioTec and its different events to acquire visibility and knowledge in its sector".
Simply put, the broad spectrum of needs of Asohost associates becomes a high demand for services for ConsorcioTec's integrating members. Likewise, ConsorcioTec's fair participation spaces and international visibility, as an ecosystem of loyalty for the purchase of technology, opens the door for Asohost to take the offer of its partners to new industries and spaces.
Demand for security solutions
Asohost is made up of hotels, hostels, rental apartments, operating companies with hundreds and thousands of properties that make use of digital platforms to sell their services, so the need for CCTV, access controls and digital locks, to name a few, are frequent and in projects of all sizes.
As stated by its executive director: "we are an inclusive association, because our essence is to reach all tourism service professionals, from the one who has a room inside his own house and rents it to international tourists, to the person who owns an operating company, or property management, who can have hundreds and even thousands of properties in different locations".
Asohost Projection
Juan Camilo concluded by commenting that the projection of his group in the medium term is to continue leading the new associations, similar to Asohost, that arise at the level of South America. "Although we are a Colombian association, we are promoting associative leadership at the Latin American level, supporting initiatives from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Costa Rica. We are currently working with the people of Peru. We see ourselves as the first association of the short and vacation rental industry in South America."
