In the Americas and the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, Axis maintains its leading share in the market for security cameras, network cameras and video encoders, according to the latest analysis of the Intelligence Service in Video Surveillance Technologies of the IHS. Due to the convergence in the installation of digital analog technologies, Axis has increased its share of the security camera market in the Americas and in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and has strengthened its leadership position in relation to the second place on the list.
The network video market will grow 22 percent annually through 2018, according to the IHS. The TSR estimates that the growth of the network video market will be 16 percent annually through 2017.
"Both reports highlight the growth in the global network camera market and clearly show that interest in network camera installations is increasing. The expected range of growth fully corresponds to our current view of the global market," said Ray Maurittson.
