Colombia. Ronnie Pennington, sales director for the Americas at Altronix, commented, within the framework of the ESS+ in Bogotá, that in Colombia camcorders have migrated to IP technology, thanks to the data transmission provided by 4G networks, installed in recent years.
During the ESS+ 2022 International Safety Fair, we had the opportunity to interview Ronnie Pennington, who highlighted the quality and lifetime guarantee that his company offers. On the other hand, he pointed out that the great demand of the Colombian market, at least during the event, were access control systems.
The sales director was emphatic that the value of Altronix's offer of solutions for video surveillance, in addition, have protected power supply for overvoltage, backup batteries and the possibility of fuse changes.
Ronnie shared that the biggest difference he noticed at the show, compared to previous years, was the quality of the integrators and the type of customers who approached this space.
Likewise, he stressed that this could be due to the jump in terms of offer of solutions, since it was migrated from analog technology to IP technology in video cameras, a change that he attributes to the advance in the installation of 4G networks in the country and highlighted what this allows regarding the transmission of data, because "with the larger bandwidth they can install more IP cameras, of better quality and with more megapixels, that is, more advanced".
