International. The Security Industry Association (SIA), in partnership with ISC West and within the framework of that event, awarded on March 23 to new products, services and innovative solutions for security.
This award, called SIA New Products and Solutions (NPS), took place on the exhibition floor of ISC West, where awards were given for technologies covering 25 different categories. It is important to mention that this award was created in 1979 and in this last version had 30 juries.
The big winner of this day was Allegion – LCN, which received the award for best new product for the LCN 6400 COMPACT Series Operators, a low-power operator that allows facilities to automate openings for contactless access, which was presented in the Control Software category. Brad Aikin, director of field marketing and training at Allegion, was in charge of receiving the statuette.
Christopher Grniet, Chair of the SIA NPS Committee, commented on the day that "the SIA NPS awards programme had an exceptional group of participants for 2022, and the judges were excited to see such an impressive variety of ideas and technologies represented this year. After hours of panel evaluation and technology demonstrations, we were proud to arrive at the final award determinations and congratulate the 2022 winners.
