International. In recent months Hanwha Techwin has been adding new developments to its solutions with application in different verticals aimed at adapting businesses towards a "new normal", where social distancing rules will have to remain, so that they can adapt and remain profitable in this new environment.
"Meeting the new limitations would be a challenge in terms of accuracy and cost if we rely only on human resources; that is why our solutions, with the great technological advances that we already have, and that we have additionally developed with technological partners, offer great benefits, "says the senior product manager for Hanwha Techwin in Latin America, Mauricio Meza. Some of these advantages are presented below.
Crowd control and social distancing
The new P-series models with Artificial Intelligence (AI) include additional analytics with great AI-based benefits. Among them: recognition of people based on their attributes, which helps to count them at the same time as watching, eliminating counts only based on the size of objects crossing a virtual line; 4K images, which means that, compared to an FHD camera, it extends the angular coverage range to double; clear messages telling the customer if they can enter or should wait; highly accurate people counting solution, and generation of alarms to other devices such as automatic door or traffic light headlight.
Likewise, the current models of the X, Q and P series can be used with a simple and free application that informs about the number of people entering and leaving a place, sending an alarm when the number of people exceeds the allowed.
Data is displayed in an easy-to-understand format on smartphones, laptops, and PCs to provide early warning.
It is important to also mention the functions of people counting, heat map and queue management, which the company already has to help better understand customer behavior, which is able to identify occupancy levels, also providing a powerful tool to identify if too many people are congregating in specific areas, making it possible to issue an alarm if the specified occupancy limit is exceeded.
On the other hand, multisensor equipment or the TB-9000 model that offers ultra high resolution 8K with AI, allow to cover and visualize large areas in sites with conditions of diverse scenes (cities, stadiums, university campuses, etc.), providing full coverage and a powerful alternative to traditional multi-camera installations.
Face mask recognition and body temperature detection
Likewise, through the analytics of the new models of the P series with artificial intelligence it is possible to detect / classify the personnel of a company based on attributes such as age and / or gender, among others, for a more efficient control in their gradual return to their activities, also saving time and unnecessary costs associated with false alarms. Likewise, with the support of technological partners, we offer detection on which people are wearing face masks, generating instant alarms.
For its part, the dual-sensor camera, with facial temperature detection and Deep Learning algorithms, will make it possible to identify and verify people thanks to a double function (IP and Thermal Video camera).
Contactless access
The integration of technology partner access systems with the Wisenet Wave VMS allows operators to manage inbound and outbound events from the VMS itself, without the need for contact.
For delivery services, which contribute to social distancing, the XNO-612R/LPR cameras allow to improve the delivery flow with the detection of plates, and even identification of attributes such as brand and color of vehicles.
Statistical Information Management to help operate a business
Wisenet WAVE is an IP video management platform that allows users to manage video from any device. It is an intuitive, reliable, easy to configure and use VMS, turning out to be a powerful tool for managing any business.
Likewise, with Retail Insight (business intelligence tool) it is very easy to analyze and manage analytics such as people counting, heat map and queue management that, apart from helping in the "new normal", becomes a key tool within businesses such as clothing stores and bank branches (among others), as it makes it possible to perform an analysis based on customers, with the aim of showing which departments are the most frequented.
AI-enabled surveillance cameras can also help store managers park employees efficiently and create sales strategies by locating merchandise in a specific zone.
