United States. A bill that allows the use of security cameras in school classrooms and other spaces of public schools in the state of Florida is in the process of approval.
This would allow parents to access the recordings and verify any bad behavior or possible incidents that are generated in the classrooms.
HB 1055 introduced in the Florida Senate, introduced by Rep. Bob Rommel, will require teachers to use a microphone, and cameras must be placed in front of the room and be able to monitor all areas except a restroom or other areas used for change.
This bill would require all school districts to complete and vote on whether to implement classroom cameras by January 1, 2023.
These implementations have to do with the fact that Florida public schools have become a focus of controversies and disagreements among the educational community. In addition to a growing number of incidents recently reported in recent months.
